Life brings transitions: marriage, children, aging parents, retirement, and even loss. Each transition raises questions about how best to protect your family and your assets. Our job is to help you understand your options and choose a path that brings clarity and peace of mind.

What We Do

Our Core Services

Wills & Trusts

A well-drafted will or trust ensures that your wishes are followed, your loved ones are protected, and your legacy lives on. Whether you need a will-based estate plan or a trust-based estate plan will depend on your unique circumstances. We will talk through your assets, family dynamics, and goals and then make recommendations. Ultimately, you get to decide what makes the most sense for your situation.

Financial Power of Attorney

A financial power of attorney extends your rights for all things financial to someone you trust. Having a financial power of attorney in place can help protect your financial stability and offers peace of mind as you age. A power of attorney can help your loved ones avoid the need to go to court for control if you become incapacitated. We can assist you in understanding the best way to structure your financial power of attorney based on your life, values and unique needs.

Medical Power of Attorney

A medical power of attorney allows someone you trust to make healthcare decisions for you if you become unable to make them for yourself. The medical power of attorney allows you to pick an agent who will follow your wishes and values. We include an advanced HIPAA authorization so your agent can access necessary medical records and speak to your medical providers when needed.

Healthcare Directive / Living Will

A Directive to Physicians, also called a living will, is designed to help you communicate your wishes about medical treatment at some time in the future when you are unable to make your wishes known because of illness or injury. It can ensure that your wishes are followed during critical health situations and it relieves those you love from the stress of making hard medical decisions without knowing your wishes.

Nominate Guardians for Minor Children

If you have minor children, we help you legally name who you would want to raise your children if something catastrophic happens to you. Documenting your wishes on who you want to serve in these vital roles protects your children from uncertainty and from unwanted court decisions.

Trust Administration

If someone you love has left you with the responsibility of serving as Trustee of a Trust, the process can sometimes be overwhelming. We can review the Trust terms and help you understand your duties, navigate the Trust administration process, and assist you in finding the best resources as you proceed.

LLC Formation

If you need assistance setting up an LLC to align with your will, trust, and other estate planning documents, we can help. We are able to handle filings and draft the paperwork to set up your LLC legally and correctly.

Probate Guidance

Many people have “avoiding probate” as one of their estate planning goals, but they often don’t have a clear picture of what probate entails. We can help set up your estate plan to avoid probate, but we can also explain the probate process and when it can actually be a good thing to go through probate. After the death of a loved one, many people are not sure if probate is necessary or not. We can help you determine whether probate is necessary for your loved one’s estate.

Guardianship Declaration for You

You can also name the Guardian(s) who you would choose to make decisions for you just in case a court ever needs to appoint a guardian of your person or estate. In the event that situation arises, your wishes will be clear about who you want to be placed as your guardian if ever required, and sometimes more importantly, you can exclude a person who you absolutely do not want to ever be made your guardian.
